Former member Peter “Prong” Cunningham, son of Life Member Bill Cunningham, caught up with Gary Player this morning at Augusta.
Gary Player came to Coffs Harbour back in the 1950’s to compete in two North Coast Opens, winning both.
He was billeted by Bill Cunningham and shared a room with young Peter.
Peter reached out to Gary a few months back to catch up at this year’s Augusta tournament that Peter was attending.
They had a great catch up reminiscing about Coffs Harbour Golf Club and the time Gary spent at Coffs.
Gary sent his best wishes to the Coffs Harbour Golf Club and its members.
