The Goats have won back to back Cutty Cup’s after taking out the annual CHGC Interclub Challenge last Sunday. 64 players representing the Goats, Koalas, Snakes and Slivers contested the stableford, 4ball and matchplay event with the Slivers 82 points coming in second, the Snakes 75 third and the Koalas 74 4th. The Goats took the title again with 89 points.
Mat Quirk took out the stableford with a great score of 40 points with Gerry Boys 2nd on 39 on a countback from Greg Nance also on 39. Greg Nance and Noel Goodworth won the 4ball with a score of 46 from Mick Brazel and Craig Vesperman on 45 who beat Doug Alaban and Brian May on a countback. John Hiscox was the biggest matchplay winner with an 8 & 7 victory with Mark Dummer and Ed Potter recording 7 & 6 victories in their respective matches.
It was great to have Col Cutmore present on the day as the Cutty Cup event is named in honour of the Cutmore family for their contributions to the CHGC over many years.
