Coffs Harbour Golf Club is looking for a Front of House Manager to supervise and co-ordinate the entire front of house team. The Front of House Manager is responsible for ensuring members and guests receive outstanding service, that service runs smoothly and all front of house staff are aware of the customer service expectations. The Front of House Manager is responsible for hiring and training quality staff, rostering including controlling staff labour costs and promoting a positive team culture. The right candidate will be able to inspire the team so they are excited and enthusiastic about providing an excellent customer experience.

About the Business

Coffs Harbour Golf Club is a well-established golf club in the Mid North Coast Region. Our immaculate 27-hole course draws individuals, charity days and competitions regularly through the year. Our Lakes Restaurant is open to members and visitors, Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and open for Friday night dinners which highlights the terrific work life balance we can offer here at the Club. Our dynamic venue offers the perfect opportunity to cater to a variety of people through our functions in the Club and regular trade to members and guests. Our culture at the Club is one of the reasons our Club is so special, we see our staff as family and can’t wait to welcome a vibrant new member. 

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Develop & maintain a highly regarded service excellence standard for the Coffs Harbour Golf Club.

  • Help to achieve monthly targets for

  • Growth in revenue both functions and day to day operations

  • Control staff costs

  • Customer Satisfaction

  • Minimise WHS incidents and ensure compliance with WHS legislation.

  • Ensure all staff are meeting high customer service standards (experience the difference motto) and completing rostered duties.

  • Carry out regular monthly staff meetings and training to improve communication and performance.

  • Communicate effectively with all members and staff.

  • Demonstrate teamwork by co-operating and assisting.

  • Positive attitude and strong leadership skills.

  • Proficient knowledge of human resources management.

  • Proficient with Microsoft software and rostering

  • Handle difficult situations effectively.

  • Flexible and caring approach to work.

  • Commitment and passion with a high level of integrity

  • Advanced knowledge of food professional principles and practices.

  • Efficient, reliable and able to meet deadlines

  • Enjoy working with people

  • Prepared to work weekends, evenings and functions
