Australian Women’s Classic Information for Members

Dear Members 

Coffs Harbour Golf Club is thrilled to have been selected to host the prestigious $500,000 Australian Women’s Classic, presented by the WPGA and co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour. This highly anticipated event will take place from 10th – 16th March 2025, bringing 132 professional and amateur golfers from Australia, Europe, Asia, North America, and New Zealand to our renowned course.

The final two days of the tournament will be broadcast to over 34 countries via television (Foxtel/Kayo), radio, print, and social media, showcasing Coffs Harbour Golf Club on a global stage. This is a remarkable achievement for our club and a testament to the exceptional quality of our course and our proud history of hosting successful professional events, including the NSW Women’s Open in 2018.

With the announcement of our Club as the host venue, we have been busy preparing and to date have have tremendous support from members to be involved in the event, by volunteering, and taking up the opportunity to host international players.

Hosting a tournament of this magnitude is a fantastic achievement, and we invite all members to play a vital role in ensuring its success. Below is an update on key arrangements:


Event Schedule

Monday 10th March – Pre-Qualifying tournament will be held. Forty (40) players will be playing for one of four (4) spots to play in the main tournament.   

Tuesday 11th March – Players’ Practice Days

Wednesday 12th March – Pro-Am:

Sponsor’s Pro-Am: 11:00 AM Shotgun Start.

Opening Function / Welcome: 4pm – 6pm (Clubhouse will be closed)

Thursday 13th – Sunday 16th March – Tournament Play (132 players confirmed) Field to be cut for the weekend to 60 + ties. Televised on Foxtel/Kayo.

We are very excited to announce that our very own Amelia Mehmet- Grohn and Annalese McKee will be representing the Club in the event. So please come out to cheer them on. 

Course & Facilities

Tournament Course: East Lakes Course The 19th will become the first hole of tournament through to the 18th finishing hole.

Practice Facilities: Temporary practice areas will be set up on Holes 2, 8, and 7 due to the current driving range limitations.

Course Closure: To facilitate tournament operations, the course will be closed to members from Monday, March 10th to Sunday, March 16th. 

Spectator & Member Information

Car Parking: Due to limited parking, the Club has arranged with the Coff Harbour Racing Club to use their car park, with a coach to shuttle members and spectators to and from the carpark to the course

We encourage you to invite friends and family to attend and enjoy the rare opportunity to walk the course alongside professional players. Please note that spectator carts will not be available due to expected crowd sizes.

 

Clubhouse

Clubhouse: Clubhouse will be open throughout the week and members are welcome up to the Club to enjoy breakfast or lunch and watch these international players up close and in action.

VIP Area: The Club will have a VIP area over looking the 18th Green. Tickets are limited so if you are interested contact reception. $30 per person including nibbles and 2 drink tickets as well as prime viewing of the finishing hole. 

Volunteer Information

The Club will also send out further information in the coming weeks as it is important that all our members are kept informed.
