Important Update: Credit Card Surcharge Policy Implementation
Dear Members,
To ensure transparency and address the rising operational costs associated with credit card transactions, Coffs Harbour Golf Club will introduce a credit card surcharge of 1% effective 1st February 2025. This surcharge will apply to:
- Competition fees and cart hire paid at the Pro Shop.
- Sales within the Pro Shop.
- Payments made at Reception, including Memberships, Functions, and Corporate Days.
Please Note: This surcharge will not apply to payments made at the Bar or Lakes Café.
Avoid Surcharges by Using Alternative Payment Methods
- For membership renewals: Opt for bank transfer, which is easy, secure, and fee-free.
- For competition fees and Pro Shop purchases: Pay cash to avoid the surcharge.
If you have any questions or need assistance with alternative payment methods, our team is here to help.
Why This Change?
- Financial Strain: Absorbing credit card charges places undue strain on the Club and the Club Professional’s operations, impacting profitability.
- Fairness: A user-pays system ensures the cost of convenience is borne by those who use credit cards, rather than spreading it across all members and customers, many of whom choose cost-effective payment methods like cash.
- Transparency: Passing on these charges aligns costs directly with the source, promoting fairness and financial clarity.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we make this adjustment to sustain the Club’s operations and services.
Thank you,
Coffs Harbour Golf Club (CHGC)
