Dear Club and President
Moore Park Golf Club is seeking help from golf clubs across NSW by simply requesting your Club members to sign our petition to save our golf course.
The Premier of NSW has decided to take the pleasure of playing golf away from the working class and visitors to Sydney by cutting the course in half and as a 9-hole course it will struggle financially, eventually the total course will go. There has been no stakeholder consultation process to explore solutions that can retain the 18-hole championship course and share the green space when required.
Other golf courses in Sydney and NSW are also under threat to developers, therefore we need to let the NSW Government know this is a terrible and very unpopular decision before it is too late.
We only ask that you make your members aware of the situation by posting the attached letter and poster around the Club and encourage them to sign it. The attached podcast provides a factual explanation.
